Ark of the Covenant: June 25 there is to be a formal announcement from Rome regarding the Ark of the Covenant. The Patriarch of the Orthodox Church in Ethiopia, who claim to be the guardians of the Ark, will make a world announcement that they have the ark in possession. They are expected to announce that a museum will be built to put it on display for all to see in Axum. Iran: After the violent put down of protests across Iran, the streets have all but emptied. The regime of Iran has refused to annul the election and are making threats to those who would consider returning to the streets again. As for those demonstrators who have been taken into custody, Ebrahim Raisi, a top judicial official, confirmed Tuesday that a special court has been set up to deal with detained protesters. "Elements of riots must be dealt with to set an example. The judiciary will do that," he was quoted as saying by the state-run radio, which gave no further details. The judiciary is controlled by Iran's ruling clerics. My fear is that this will be done, and publicly, to set an example. Please pray for the people of Iran. Even if Ahmadinejad and his regime are/or would have been over thrown, the Mousavi - Rafsanjani group is not an improvement. They are still Twelver Shiites who believe in the Madhi, the destruction of Israel and have no love for America and the West. Interestingly, we see Russia joining itself even closer to Iran's hip...this should make prophecy watchers sit up and take notice. It would appear, as of today, that without some major event occurring, Ahmadinejad and the regime will remain in power and will be more emboldened and determined, this could be prophetic in itself. Remember, Ahmadinejad's first trip after the election, while rioters took to the streets, was to Russia. Israel, Jerusalem and the "Piece" Process: Well, the same old song is being sung...except now that Obama has removed the protective hedge that America once restrained the nations with, the voices are a quite a few decibles higher. Pray for Mr. Netanyahu to remain strong, as Israel's enemies have found a new "cause" for their coming attack on Israel..."refusal of Israel to stop settlements and natural growth". It is just insane to think that this is being demanded by Obama, Europe and the Arab Muslim world, as I'd like to see someone even hint at that prospect for the "Palestinians", yet no one is even blinking over this demand on Israel. The nations are coming against Israel like never before. Pray for the TRUE peace of Jerusalem. Be aware that the area where the "freeze" is to take place in, are the "mountains of Israel", "Judea and Samaria"...the exact spot that the Jews are going to have to flee from in the tribulation period.

Gog's Gathering It's Troops: Russia is building it's ties with the Middle East; they are doing this with Ahmadinejad, and today the General of the Armed forces for the UAE is "discussing economic ties with Russia" as we speak---I don't recall the US or any other nation ever sending the head of the military or Generals to discuss economic relations with other nations, but hey....that's just me. Russia is also positioning to hold a ME peace conference later this year. And it is not just the ME, Russia and China are closer than ever and the US is a thorn in both of their sides. China needs to be taken seriously and not discounted in "world" affairs. I wrote a commentary on why they need to be taken seriously some time back, http://discernthetime.com/messageboard/showthread.php?t=9 Russia and China could very well be using Kim Jung Il, not that the man needs any encouragement to act crazy, but his recent antics could not be done without China's knowledge and possible "wink". Russia and China need the US to get out of the way to further their own agendas and plans for their futures. China needs the US to end it's being the guardian of the Pacific Sea lanes, a role we have maintained since the end of WWII to ensure there would not be any dominance from Asia from one nation over another.

Revived Roman Empire: Don't miss watching to see how the Med. Union plays out. This has been given new life and is now within short reach. Check out a map of the Roman Empire, then look at a map of those nations in the MEU. Libya's mad man Qadaffi, while not taken seriously by most world leaders, has however been given legitimacy by them, and his recent visit to Rome hints at it's acceptance into the MEU.
